Twiliner is redefining overnight bus travel across Europe with our unique sleeper seat that transforms into a cozy bed at the push of a button. Our coaches are designed for comfort with spacious restrooms, changing rooms, and a snack bar. Travel overnight to top destinations – with 90% fewer emissions.

Skip airport transfers, security checks and hotel costs. Just board in the city centre, enjoy a smooth trip and wake up refreshed to a new destination at sunrise.

You can find our current routes in the booking tool. We’re launching our first 5 destinations in summer 2025. For autumn 2025 we already have some new destinations in planning. Our goal is to expand to 30 destinations across Europe within the next three years.

Buses are a sustainable means of transport. We decided to go a step further and use HVO diesel – a renewable diesel made from waste fats and vegetable oils. This makes traveling with Twiliner as sustainable as a train ride.

Our patent-pending seats are the first in Europe to fully recline into a bed at the touch of a button, offering unmatched comfort for work, relaxation, or sleep. Designed with an innovative safety system, they ensure secure travel in every position throughout your Twiliner journey.

Yes, every seat has free Wi-Fi and power outlets, so you can work or relax on the go.

Absolutely! Our seats convert into beds, like in business class. We provide a cozy pillow and blanket for a restful night. Plus, you can slip into something comfier in our changing room before settling in.

Twiliner buses are designed for a restful and enjoyable journey. On the lower level, you’ll find a spacious toilet, a changing room, and a snack bar offering a curated selection of drinks and snacks. At your seat, you’ll have personal storage, a table for working or dining, USB chargers, and a reading light. Best of all, water, coffee, and high-speed Wi-Fi are always free.

Each passenger can bring one large suitcase (max. 23kg, 80 x 50 x 35cm) and one carry-on to be transported for free in our hold (max. 5kg, 50 x 30 x 20cm). Please note that the storage space at your seat is limited so please bring only a small handbag or backpack to your seat. Extra luggage can be booked for an additional fee here. 

Our Twiliner buses feature a snack bar on the lower level. The selection of drinks and small snacks (nuts, dried fruits, bars etc.) may vary by route and is available for purchase using cashless payment. If you have allergies or specific dietary needs, we recommend bringing your own food.

Yes you can! However, you will need to book this as special luggage for CHF 35 and space is limited.

Booking & Schedule

It depends on the ticket type. We offer three different fare classes.
  • Non-Refundable: not refundable, not changeable
  • Semi Flex: fully refundable until 30 days before departure
  • Full Flex: fully refundable until 72 hours before departure
If you have a semi flex or full flex ticket and you want to change your trip, destination or name, please contact our customer support. For changes and cancellations, please refer to our policy guidelines.

If you miss your departure, please contact our customer service immediately. We’ll do our best to assist you.

You can select your preferred seat on the interactive seat map during the booking process. If you’re traveling with others, we recommend choosing your seats together when booking.

Check-in & Travel Process

Timely arrivals are a top priority for us. Please help us with a smooth boarding by arriving at least 15 minutes before departure.

For boarding you will need a valid ID (and a visa if necessary) and your e-ticket. Since we travel overnight, we also recommend bringing personal items like comfy clothes and your tooth brush.

We recommend you eat before the trip because there is no dinner on board.

Unaccompanied minors under the age of 16 require written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

It’s unlikely but can happen occasionally.
No we have no scheduled break-stops except very few ones at the destinations on the way— our goal is to get you to your destination quickly and comfortably with as little interruptions as possible. We only stop briefly for mandatory driver changes. You can relax in your seat or keep sleeping the entire journey, with all essentials onboard.
In most cities, we stop directly at the central bus station. You’ll find detailed boarding and drop-off information in your booking confirmation.

Safety & Service

Our unique restraint system for the lie-flat position was thoroughly tested, making Twiliner the only night bus in Europe that ensures secure travel while sleeping soundly. It is required to have the seat belt fastend during the entire trip and to slip into the comfortable sleeping bag when lying flat.

For our operations, we are working together with the best coach operators in Europe. Their drivers are experienced, certified, and specially trained for night routes. Every journey has two drivers who rotate regularly for safety.

Our two drivers are responsible for a safe night drive, but can look after passengers in an emergency. However, there is no dedicated on-board service. You’re free to move around and help yourself at the snack bar.

Special Requests & Accessibility

Currently, pets are not allowed. We understand many travelers enjoy bringing their furry companions, and we’re exploring ways to accommodate this in the future.

Our seats are designed explicitly for adult passengers and we do not currently offer child-specific seating. This is why we cannot transport children under the age of 5.

From this age, children can enjoy a trip with Twiliner as long as they are familiar with long-distance travelling and can take the quiet, sleep-friendly environment into consideration.

Absolutely. With high-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets, a fold-out table, and a quiet environment, Twiliner is ideal for business travelers.

Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted on our buses. You can enjoy your first cigarette at sunrise after deboarding.

Not yet. But we will inform you in our on-board portal about the possibility of taking a shower at your destination.
