Which routes does Twiliner offer?
At the end of 2025, we’re launching our first two routes:
- Zurich – Basel – Luxembourg – Brussels – Rotterdam – Amsterdam
- Zurich – Bern – Girona – Barcelona
More destinations are already in planning for 2026. Our goal is to grow to 30 destinations across Europe within the next three years.
How sustainable is traveling with Twiliner?
The coach is the most eco-friendly mode of transport in German long-distance passenger travel*.
Our mission is to convince people to travel on the ground with a completely new level of comfort. People who would otherwise have flown. In this comparison, we’re up to 91% more sustainable.
We also run on HVO diesel, which makes us as eco-friendly as the night train.
Why not electric? We’re working on it 😊
Twiliner Experience
What makes the Twiliner seat unique?
Our self-developed and patented bus seats are the first in Europe that can be reclined to a fully flat position. They allow you to work, relax and sleep in comfort.
Thanks to our innovative safety system, they guarantee safety in every position throughout your journey.
Is there Wi-Fi and power onboard?
Yes, our bus has free Wi-Fi and every seat has a USB-C charging port so you can work or watch a film while on the move.
Can I sleep during the ride?
Absolutely! We strive to create the best atmosphere for a restful sleep. Our seats convert into beds. We provide you with a cozy pillow and a snug blanket.
In addition, you can change into something more comfortable in our changing room and enjoy a calming tea at our snack bar before settling in.
Amenities on Board
Twiliner buses are designed for a restful and enjoyable journey. On the lower level, you’ll find a spacious toilet, a changing room, and a snack bar offering a curated selection of drinks and snacks.

Each passenger can bring one large suitcase (max. 23kg, 80 x 50 x 35cm) and one carry-on to be transported for free in our hold (max. 7kg, 50 x 30 x 20cm). Please note that the storage space at your seat is limited so please bring only a small handbag or backpack to your seat. Additional luggage can be booked for an extra charge.

At the moment we’re not able to serve a full meal yet – but feel free to bring your own food. We just kindly ask you to skip anything with a very strong smell, so everyone can enjoy a pleasant journey.
Can I bring special luggage like bikes, skis or surfboards?
At the moment we haven’t yet enabled the transport of special luggage.

Check-in & Travel Process
When should I arrive at the departure point?
Timely arrivals are a top priority for us. Please help us with a smooth boarding by arriving at least 15 minutes before departure.
What do I need to bring for the trip?
For boarding you will need a valid ID (and a visa if necessary) and your e-ticket.
Since we travel overnight, we also recommend bringing personal items like comfy clothes and your tooth brush.
Please note that there is no proper dinner on board. However, you’re welcome to bring your own food. Out of consideration for other passengers, please avoid eating strongly smelling dishes (you’ll surely find delicious garlicky meals again at your destination 😉).
Unaccompanied minors under the age of 16 require written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Are there border checks during the journey?
Are there breaks during the trip?
No, we don’t have any scheduled stops. We only stop to let passengers on and off or for a brief driver change.
Our goal is to get you to your destination as quickly and comfortably as possible with as few interruptions as possible.
So you can sit back and relax — ideally even sleep through the whole journey. We have everything on board you’ll need for that.
Where do the Twiliner-buses stop?
In most cities, we stop directly at the central bus station. You can see detailed boarding and drop-off information during the booking process as well as in your booking confirmation.
Safety & Service
How safe is it to travel with Twiliner?
Our unique restraint system for the lie-flat position was thoroughly tested, making Twiliner the only night bus in Europe that ensures secure travel while sleeping soundly. It is required to have the seat belt fastend during the entire trip and to slip into the comfortable sleeping bag when lying flat.
Who drives the buses?
For our operations, we are working together with the best coach operators in Europe. Their drivers are experienced, certified, and specially trained for night routes. Every journey has two drivers who rotate regularly for safety.
Is customer service available during the ride?
Our two drivers are responsible for a safe night drive, but can look after passengers in an emergency. However, there is no dedicated on-board service. You’re free to move around and help yourself at the snack bar.
How can I reach customer support?
We’re still a startup and a very small team. That’s why you can only reach us at the moment by email, and it may take us a bit more time to reply.
However, we’re continuously expanding our customer support and will definitely set up a hotline in the future.
Thank you for your understanding!
Special Requests & Accessibility
Can I bring my dog on board?
Currently, dogs are not allowed on board (we’re sad about that too).
We recognize that many travelers would like to bring their furry companions, so we’re actively looking for solutions to make this possible in the future.
Can children travel on Twiliner buses?
Our seats are designed and tested for adult passengers. At the moment, we do not offer child-specific seats or add-ons. Therefore, we’re unfortunately unable to transport children under the age of 5.
From this age onwards children can enjoy a trip with Twiliner if they are familiar with long-distance travel and can take the quiet environment into account.
Is Twiliner suitable for business travel?
Is smoking allowed on board?
Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted on our buses. You can enjoy your first cigarette at sunrise after deboarding.
Do you have a shower on board?
Not yet. But we will inform you in our on-board portal about the possibility of taking a shower at your destination.
Can Twiliner be booked for private events or company outings?
We’re developing a charter model. For private booking inquiries, please contact us via email.
